Our History and Vision
Spirit Wild Horse Sanctuary is the main operational goal of our registered charity (Spirit Horse Centre.) The goal of the Spirit Wild Horse Sanctuary is to be a land base for rescued wild horses to have a forever home where they, along with the land and the water are protected and able to exist in a natural state.
Our organization is an interpretive and educational outdoor classroom for environmental sustainability and conservation of local ecology and wildlife, alongside our wild horses.
Our organization also serves the community by offering traditional horsemanship and equine therapy alongside traditional and cultural land based programming.

All aspects of the Spirit Wild Horse Sanctuary involve respect, culture and promoting positive cultural awareness alongside traditional knowledge from Elders.
Spirit Wild Horse Sanctuary
A land based project focused to secure space where existing wildlife including first horses, the land and water are protected for future generations.
Spirit Wild Horse Sanctuary is to be located on a beautiful green space with various ecological habitats and wildlife. All of our programming elements and day to day living incorporate self-sustaining and environmentally respectful ways of being as well as protection of the water and land. Youth learn how to walk gently on the land and help preserve our Mother Earth for future generations.
Traditional Horsemanship and Equine Therapy
As a year round sanctuary area and home for rescued wild horses, Spirit Horses, our organization brings human and horse together in a respectful and healing manner.
Our traditional horsemanship programs, activities and teachings encompass equine therapy at the purest level. Living in balance within a holistic model promotes healthy horse/human relationships and a sense of connection.

We focus on making the maximum positive effect for our communities and for the future. Our members, donors, partners and volunteers provide the momentum that helps us to affect this change and reach our goal.
We are currently raising funds and securing grants to help us purchase an area at the base of the foothills where the Spirit Wild Horse Sanctuary lands can be brought to life and live on for future generations.
